I’m in Ankara, it’s the capital of Turkey and has 4.75 million people living within the city. Interesting eh? Well it’s a big city in the middle of a big country and that’s all I can say about it. I’m in the Hilton and it’s full and they have metal detectors at the doors, there must be an event on. My room is good but, I found a sign that says my room has been prepared up by someone called Yakup. I don’t know why, but Yakup hasn’t really taken on as a name in the UK.
We flew some super VIP people today and we literally got the red carpet treatment. I just have to think what it must be like for these people flying around in our jets when they stop doing their jobs and return to life like the rest of us. In the future the lead passenger, who is travelling with 6 staff members, will have a change of job, a change in his life and then he will be an ordinary person. He will have to go to Kwik Fit and get ripped off and insulted like us all. that thought made me laugh. It’s the end of the tour, I’m catching the airline home tomorrow. I think it is going to be a long day on two airlines to get back to Heathrow. This is one of the hardest places to end a tour, just my luck. |
